Workshops

As is traditional, the workshops will be held as breakfast meetings before the main Scientific Programme. It is intended that these will be interactive sessions, and a light breakfast will be provided.

Siemens Medal Award and Poster Prizes

The Siemens Award Medal is given for oral communications presented by Members of the Association who are, at the time of the presentation, in training (ie working towards, but not yet been awarded, FRCPath). The winner receives a silver medal and a £1000 bursary, the runner-up a £500 bursary. The Siemens Poster Prizes are bursaries (£500 and £250) awarded for the two best clinical case posters presented at the meeting. The bursaries may be used to further develop a project or fund attendance at a future scientific meeting. To enter, please tick the relevant box on the abstract submission form.

Posters

Posters will be located in the Focus Forum.

CPD Accreditation

Focus 2009 will be fully accredited for CPD schemes of the Royal College of
Pathologists and the Institute of Biomedical Science.
